The Sr. Director of Software Engineering will have the opportunity to support and impact Field Nation’s development team by providing mentorship, career development, and technical leadership in collaboration with the CTO. With a strong focus on people, technology, and the business, this person will enable our teams to move quicker by focusing on the execution of our overall strategy and product delivery process. The Sr. Director of Software Engineering will have the opportunity to support and impact Field Nation’s development team by providing mentorship, career development, and technical leadership in collaboration with the CTO. With a strong focus on people, technology, and the business, this person will enable our teams to move quicker by focusing on the execution of our overall strategy and product delivery process. What you'll get to do:
- Work closely with the development team to encourage and support individual and team technical and professional growth
- Collaborate closely with Product Management, UX, and other internal teams to achieve goals and deadlines
- Look for opportunities to increase productivity by ensuring team members are focused on the right activities
- Build up team dynamics and develop individuals through coaching and mentorship
- Fully utilize our offshore team for a strong competitive advantage
- Bring fresh ideas on how technology can be used to solve big problems
- 7+ years working as part of a software development team
- 5+ years experience leading an engineering team
- Analytical and data driven approach identifying opportunities and solutions
- Ability to excel in an agile environment
- Experience working with offshore teams a plus
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, computer science or related technical field
