At DSi, we develop SaaS applications for clients in the United States. These applications run 24/7. Your role as an Application Support Engineer will be to provide programming and operations support for such applications. In certain conditions, a newly deployed microservice, for example, may exhibit faults in production. You will need to investigate the cause using log files, monitoring systems, and your application knowledge. If it is something that you can fix, you must do so. Otherwise, you will enter it into the ticketing system and a more experienced service developer will investigate it later.
You will collaborate closely with Application Developers in the local office, network operations personnel in the US, system monitoring specialists, DevOps engineers, and clients.
