Job Description
Job Responsibility: · Define the operational strategy for incident management, application and system performance monitoring using agile and DevOps Principle· Lead establishing technical framework through which business requirements for application and system performance will be collected from all development vendors and digital product team· Responsible to define the product owners to articulate realistic, tangible and value adding monitoring metrics for system and application performance· Design and develop document and implement technical framework for capturing and reporting the KPIs· Set up and manage a governance framework for capturing the SLA compliance and KPI monitoring by working closely with technology and development partners· Design and drive implementation of performance dashboards to showcase key systems, application and business KPIs to various stakeholders from Product owners to CXOs· Define operational strategy to identify the scope of process automation in collaboration with the technology and development vendors· Design and drive necessary automation scope for system and application covering the best practices through research and analysis and provide technical assistance in setting up the automated solutions using a plethora of tools (e.g. Nagios, ELK stack, New Relic etc)· Design operational strategy to define, ticketing solution for incident management, implement the same and ensure monitoring· Ensure Service Assurance/QA Engineers are equipped with the adequate knowledge, lead and coach partner operations staff on DevOps resources regarding performance monitoring
Required Academic Qualifications· Graduate or Post Graduate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology from any UGC approved university· Professional certification in ITIL, Scrum, SAFeRequired Experience· 8 to 10 year experience working as IT Service Management (ITSM) lead, preferably within the telecoms industry
Required Knowledge amp; Skills· Advanced understanding of Software Development Lifecycle model· Advanced understanding in ITIL practices and Agile principles (Scrum, SAFe)· Advanced technical knowledge and experience in setting up systems and application performance monitoring tools (Nagios, ELK stack, Splunk, New Relic, Dynatrace etc)· Good experience in setting up and maintaining an incident management process and tool· Good knowledge DevOps processes and tools continuous integration(CI), continuous deployment(CD), cloud (AWS, GCP), containerization, infrastructure-as-code· Sound knowledge on project management· Sound knowledge in business strategy skills to build the solutions necessary to ask the right questions and find the right answers
