Job Description

Why is this role important to Field Nation?The Director of Sales - New Business Development is responsible for the success of our New Logo Business Development sales teams. This role is critical to Field Nation because it is responsible for executing on new business acquisition sales goals that will help us scale revenue to the next level. This position offers the opportunity to be in a fast-paced, high growth environment where new ideas are encouraged and collaboration is a must. This position is located in Minneapolis, MN and reports to the Vice President, Sales. What you'll do:
  • Hire, coach and motivate a team of Business Development Representatives and Business Development Managers to achieve performance and quota goals
  • Assist in the development of building annual sales plans to include setting new logo sales goals, quotas and commission structure
  • Partner with sales operations in order to ensure an efficient and scalable sales process
  • Partner with sales enablement to identify the tools, content and training needed for your team to achieve their annual sales objectives
  • Collaborate with marketing to identify how the top of funnel lead generation will result in your team meeting their new logo sales objectives
  • Provide full visibility into the sales pipeline at every stage of development
  • Participate in new prospect meetings for high potential accounts and personally help close the largest opportunities by selling the value of Field Nation
  • Work collaboratively across all teams to include Marketing, Product amp; Customer Success
  • Travel up to 25%, including the possibility of industry trade shows and events
What you'll need:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field
  • 5+ years of successful sales management experience with responsibility for a B2B quota-carrying team in a high growth company
  • Previous sales experience in the technology or services industries
  • Experience in managing to performance metrics
  • Proven leadership and management experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with SalesForce and Google Workspace products
  • Proven cross-functional relationship building skills
