Why is this role important to Field Nation?This role maintains and improves Field Nation data assets. The information that data can deliver is foundational in how Field Nation makes decisions. In this role you will help to make sure the information systems are operational, work efficiently, and are of high quality. More importantly you will help construct the meaning from all of the different data sources, by ensuring that the data is relatable and is transformed into usable forms. This role requires relentless attention to what the data represents about our customers and how they use our services. This position is located in Uttara, Dhaka. (We are doing Work From Home due to the Covid-19 )What you’ll do

- Building and maintaining an OLAP set of repositories, including a data warehouse and multiple data marts
- Extract and load data from disparate data sources
- Transform data into solution specific information outcomes
- Create data models that reflect business structures and adapt these for specific reporting and analytic needs
- Service data requests from internal customers
- Investigate irregularities in data to find their root cause
- Bachelor’s Degree in Technology, Science, Statistics or Math preferred but equivalent experience accepted
- A passion about making sure people have the best information possible to make decisions
- Some data modeling experience with taking requirements and creating a data model that is optimized for reporting
- Some data manipulation and ETL experience. Familiarity with Matillion ELT tool for Redshift is preferred
- Strong analysis and communication skills required. Able to discuss data needs with end users and document information about the data we collect.
- Experience querying data sets using SQL. Can deliver ad hoc reports quickly.
- Experience with column-store databases such as AWS Redshift is preferred
- Experience working within agile software engineering methodologies using tools such as GitHub and JIRA is preferred
- Knowledge of AWS cloud technologies is desirable
- Programming skills in data-centric languages such as Python is desirable
- Uttara, Dhaka (We are doing Work From Home due to the Covid-19 )
