WorldFish Bangladesh and South Asia is hiring Research Assistant funded by USAID funded ‘ECOFISH II’ in order to meet its vision: Be the research partner of choice, delivering high impact, transformative and equitable fisheries and aquaculture solutions to reduce poverty and malnutrition in Bangladesh and South Asia.
The key objective of the ECOFISH II project is improved social and ecological resilience of coastal fisheries securing equitable food, nutrition and income benefits for fishing communities.

BenefitsThis is a Nationally Recruited Staff (NRS) position with approximate annual salary ranging between BDT 624,700 BDT 662,745 per annum. WorldFish NRS shall receive comprehensive benefits including (but not limited to) insurance coverage for staff and eligible dependents, and pension / provident fund contribution.
Eligibility, Location and Duration
There are 2 opening, which will be primarily targetedat the Cox's Bazar Sadar and Teknaf that can be transferable within other ECOFISH II working areas such as Moheskhali, Ukhiya and Ramu of Cox's Bazar. Interviews are expected to be held in March 2021 and only shortlisted candidates will be notified and expected to attend the interview. The successful candidate should be available to commence in April 2021 for an initial eight and a half (8.5) months fixed term contract, with the possibility of contract renewal depending on performance and funding availability.
